Is life possible beyond Earth? Are humans alone in the solar system? Before the launch of the Hubble Space telescope in 1990, answers to such scientific questions seemed unattainable. Today, we are closer than ever to discovering life beyond Earth with extrasolar planet-finding telescopes like the Ball Aerospace-built Kepler telescope. Scientists now know of thousands of planets beyond our solar system.
Ball Aerospace has been advancing space technology for over 60 years, but it is the next generation of cutting-edge technology that will shed light on these age-old questions. Dr. Makenzie Lystrup will share a glimpse into the future of astronomy and aerospace technology.
Speaker: Dr. Makenzie Lystrup, Ball Aerospace, is a planetary astronomer and director for new business, Civil Space.
