OPEN POSITIONS

Director, Finance & Accounting

The Director of Finance & Accounting (DFA) reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), is a member of the senior management team, and works closely with the CEO, the Board of Directors and staff throughout the organization. The role of the DFA is to work closely with CEO in determining long-term financial goals and developing strategies to achieve the financial objectives of CCA. The DFA manages the organization’s financial operations, including oversight of accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, production of financial statements and reports, and advisement of the senior management team on financial decisions.

Starting Salary Range: $93,600 – $110,000

Guest Service Agent

The Guest Service Agent is a full-time flex (32-40 hrs/week), benefited position, non-exempt position, with responsibilities which include assisting visitors, registering guests, managing reservations, and providing detailed information about cottages/units, rates, and amenities. Shifts will vary from 7:00am to 12:00am (midnight) and will include a mix of weekdays and weekends. For emergency and inclement weather reporting, this position is considered essential.

Part-Time General Store Associate

The General Store Associate is a part-time, year-round, non-benefited position, responsible for greeting customers, answering their questions, taking orders, preparing, and serving food and drinks, and maintaining the retail space. Shifts will vary and will include a mix of weekdays and weekends, mornings, and evenings. For emergency and inclement weather reporting, this position is considered essential. Average weekly hours will range from 16 up to 30 hours.

Assistant Box Office Manager

The Assistant Box Office Manager (ABOM) is a full-time benefited, exempt, position responsible for scheduling and supervision of seasonal box office staff; building events for the Colorado Chautauqua Association (CCA) and Colorado Music Festival (CMF); daily reporting, and admin work in off-season. Acts as Manager on Duty when Box Office Manager is not present, consistently providing a high-quality visitor experience for Chautauqua’s patrons. Evening and weekend work is required. For emergency and inclement weather reporting purposes this position is non-essential.

Starting Salary Range: $41,600 – $48,375

Weekend Facilities Technician (PM)

The Weekend Facilities Tech is a part-time (16 hours/week), non-benefited, non-exempt position, reporting Saturday and Sunday 3:00p – 11:30p. Under limited supervision, this position performs a variety of repair and maintenance tasks on Chautauqua facilities, structures, and grounds. Additionally, assists front desk with amenity deliveries. The role is specifically designed to deliver exceptional customer service as well as helping with day-to-day maintenance operations. Holiday work could be required in meeting position responsibilities. For emergency and inclement weather reporting this position is considered essential.

Starting Hourly Range: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour

Seasonal Event/Parking Staff

Seasonal Event/Parking Staff is a seasonal (mid-April thru early October), part-time, non-exempt position having responsibility for creating a positive and safe guest experience, as well as ensuring the general up-keep, cleanliness, and security of events at the Chautauqua Auditorium. Additionally, this position will be tasked with monitoring parking and traffic flow for guests, artist, staff, and volunteers for Chautauqua events. Evening and weekend work is required.

Seasonal Gardener

The Seasonal Gardener is a seasonal (May 1 thru Sept 28), non-exempt, non-benefited position responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all landscape and garden features within Chautauqua Park. Some weekend work may be required during periods of extreme hot weather. For emergency and inclement weather reporting purposes, this position is non-essential.

Seasonal Box Office Staff

Box Office Staff is a seasonal (mid-April thru early October), part-time, non-exempt, non-benefited position, responsible for carrying out box-office activities such as ticket sales, phone inquiries, and night-of-show customer service in an often fast-paced environment. Evening and weekend work is required in meeting position responsibilities.  For emergency and inclement weather reporting, this position is non-essential.
