The Auditorium Tent Project
With the Sundance Film Festival coming to Boulder in January 2027, we invite you join us on a once-in-a-generation journey to transform our Historic Auditorium into a year-round venue. This innovative project will add over 200 days of community programming each year without changing the Auditorium’s exterior footprint or historic charm. Our winterized interior tent, heated by geothermal energy, will go up each October and come down every May – ensuring the Auditorium’s unforgettable summer ambiance never changes.

The Flatirons Fund
Established in 2024, this fund provides Chautauqua with a strategic reserve to ensure it has the resources to withstand an unexpected business interruption and to fund non-routine restoration projects, and acquisitions of historic cottages in need of rehabilitation.
