The Colorado Chautauqua sets itself apart from other Boulder destinations as an oasis of respite, rejuvenation and enlightenment – offering inspired views of the Flatirons, front door access to Boulder’s famous hiking trails, and tranquil accommodations. Choose from nearly 60 unique cottages and two historic lodges. Chautauqua offers studio, 1, 2, or 3 bedroom cottages, each with fully equipped kitchens and most with screened-in porches. All accommodations are smoke-free and many are pet-friendly.
Studio cottages are ideal for cozy, intimate or solo getaways. Make your own meals in our fully-equipped kitchens or take a short walk through our beautiful campus to the Dining Hall. Tired after a long hike? Relax on the screen porch and enjoy the fresh mountain air and an iced chai from the General Store. Pet-friendly and pet-free accommodations are available.
For additional studio accommodations in an apartment-style setting, please see Columbine Lodge.
Our one-bedroom cottages are perfect for a couples’ getaway or guests coming for business meetings or retreats. Sleeper sofas are available for additional guests and we offer both pet-friendly and pet-free accommodations.
Two-bedroom cottages offer families, wedding guests or friends a living room, full kitchen and screened porch to enjoy together in a spacious, but still cozy environment. Pet-friendly and pet-free accommodations are available.
Three-bedroom cottages provide room for families, wedding guests, and friends. Stay in and share meals prepared in the fully-equipped kitchen, or dine out at the historic Dining Hall. Visitors can relax comfortably in the living room or on the screened porch, with plenty of room for additional guests (ask for a sleeper sofa). Pet-friendly and pet-free accommodations are available.

Missions House sleeps up to 16 people and can comfortably entertain parties of up to 35 guests. Missions House Lodge is ADA accessible and pet-free.
Columbine Lodge was built in 1919 just after World War I, serving motoring tourists who wished to experience Chautauqua for a few days rather than rent a cottage for the entire season. Today, Columbine Lodge offers studio accommodations in an apartment style setting. Each unit is equipped with a kitchenette and bath and guests enjoy front door access to over 40 miles of open space trails.
Columbine Lodge is pet-free.
