What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in time is 4 PM and check-out time is 10 AM.

 

Can I check-in early?

Rooms are guaranteed by 4:00 PM. Guests are more than welcome to come early and store bags with the Front Desk. Early check in is sometimes possible, but can never be guaranteed.

 

Can I have a late check-out?

10 AM – 10:30 AM check-out times are complimentary and depend on occupancy and room type. Late check-out requests are always at the discretion of the Front Desk. Requests for check-out after 10:30 AM may result in a half day charge.

 

What is your cancellation policy?

Deposits, cancellations and deadlines for payment balances are all dependent upon length of stay and your particular reservation. For more information, please call Guest Services at 303-952-1611.

 

Are your cottages available for longer term stays?

Yes! Please call 303-952-1612 or email [email protected] for long-term stays.

 

Is parking available at your property?

Parking is available at no cost at Chautauqua. Some cottages have their own driveways (please use them to make space on the street for others), while others offer first come, first served street parking.

 

Do you have transportation to and from the Denver International Airport? What are my options to and from the airport?

The Colorado Chautauqua does not offer airport transportation. Green Ride, RTD, Uber and Lyft, and private town car rentals are available in the Denver Metro and Boulder areas. Guests are responsible for reserving their own transportation.

 

Does the Colorado Chautauqua have ADA accessible rooms?

If I have a special request, who should I call?

For special requests including ADA accessible needs, rollaway beds, pack ‘n play cribs, and pet accommodations, please call the Guest Services at 303-952-1611.

 

Where is my Guest Directory?

As a part of our commitment to sustainability, we no longer have printed guest directories in the cottages. Instead, there is a digital directory, which can be accessed from the vintage photo/QR code in your cottage or here.

 

Do you have a gym?

Chautauqua does not have a gym, but guests can get a great workout hiking the 40 miles of easily accessible trails outside their cottages.

Do the cottages have TVs?

All accommodations are television-free to allow guests to relax and unplug. For those wanting to follow their favorite sports team, the lounge at the Dining Hall is equipped with two televisions.

Do you have a restaurant?

Yes! The Chautauqua Dining Hall is open year round and we also serve coffee, ice cream and snacks at the General Store. You may also order online from the Dining Hall or stock your cottage kitchen from Instacart.

 

Do you have live music?

What if I accidentally damage something?

Registered guests (and their visitors) are responsible for any missing or damaged items in their cottage or unit. Damage, excessive clean-up and potential lost business fees are collected using the credit card on file for the reservation.

 

Do you allow dogs?

Yes! Dogs are the only pets allowed at Chautauqua. Dogs are permitted in pet-friendly cottages for an additional $25 per dog, per day fee. Please contact Guest Services (303-952-1611) for other details regarding pet fees. Dogs may NOT be left unattended in any cottage for any reason. Guests are responsible for any damages caused by pets (including guest rooms, hallways and common areas) and will be assessed according to our damage policy. Please be sure to call Guest Services at least 72 hours prior to arrival if you are traveling with a dog. Without notice, we cannot guarantee availability of dog friendly accommodations.

Dogs found in PET-FREE cottages will require immediate boarding at the Guest’s expense and the Guest will incur a $250 per day cleaning fee.

 

Do you allow smoking?

The City of Boulder prohibits smoking (any substance) in city parks or on open space. In addition, the use of any smoking or vaping devices, including electronic cigarettes, is prohibited on the Chautauqua grounds, and in all cottages, lodges and venues. Smoking of any type in any rental space will result in a $250 cleaning fee.

 

Are there any other restrictions at Chautauqua?

Yes, we have a longstanding tradition at Chautauqua to observe the following quiet hours. Excessive noise complaints could result in penalties, including being evicted from the premises immediately without refund.

1 PM – 3 PM (June 15th – August 15th)
11 PM – 8 AM  (Year Round)

Furniture Moves

The furniture in our cottages and other rental spaces has been arranged for your comfort and safety. A labor fee of $50 will be collected if beds, furniture, or major appliances have been moved from their original locations and have not been returned to their original location by check out time.

How do I schedule a history tour?

Please contact Guest Services at 303-952-1611 to schedule a history tour with a Chautauqua representative. Tours are subject to availability.

 

How do I get more information about the history of the Colorado Chautauqua?

If you have specific questions, please ask our Guest Services agents. In addition, guests can purchase books on the history of the Colorado Chautauqua at our General Store!
