A 100-year tradition, the beloved Chautauqua Silent Film Series continues with Kid Boots (1926). Kid Boots is a silent comedy starring Eddie Cantor as Samuel “Kid” Boots, a hapless tailor’s clerk who becomes an unlikely witness in a wealthy man’s divorce case. As he helps his new friend avoid a scheming ex-wife, Boots finds himself caught up in romantic mix-ups, golf resort antics, and a series of increasingly outrageous adventures. Filled with slapstick humor, mistaken identities, and thrilling stunt sequences, Kid Boots showcases Cantor’s energetic comedic style in his feature film debut.
