There are two performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream taking place at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM on July 18. This event takes place in the Waterwise Garden.
One of Shakespeare’s most beloved plays, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, is a lively comedy where love, magic, and mischief collide. Four young lovers caught in a chaotic love triangle flee into the woods near Athens, where they become entangled in a magical feud between the fairy king Oberon and queen Titania. Meanwhile, a group of amateur actors rehearses a play in the same woods. Oberon’s mischievous servant Puck uses magic to meddle with the mortals, and chaos ensues: people fall in love with the wrong partners, identities blur, and reality feels like a dream. As the night unfolds, confusion turns to clarity, and harmony is somehow restored. Set against the foothills of Boulder’s historic Chautauqua Park, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ explores illusion vs. reality, dreams and fears, and the transformative power of imagination.
