The Colorado Chautauqua, is proud to announce the return of the beloved Art in the Park bears. Plan a day trip or better yet, plan an overnight stay in a cozy Chautauqua cottage with your family and discover the beautifully decorated bears of Art in the Park. Kids from 2 – 92 will love exploring one of Boulder’s biggest and best-loved public art installations. You can even bid in our online auction to take one of the bears home. But don’t delay, the bears will be going into hibernation after April 17, 2025.

25 talented artists were selected from a pool of over 100 applicants to transform the adorable bear statues into extraordinary works of art. The participating artists have created a stunning exhibit located in one of the most breathtaking outdoor venues in the country.

The bears will be on display throughout Chautauqua’s National Historic Landmark campus from December 7, 2024 through April 17, 2025. The bears are part of an auction and the proceeds raised will support the 25 participating artists, The New Local, and the Colorado Chautauqua.
