2025 Films:
Boulder Theater film “Save The Face”
“Save the Face” is a short documentary about the turbulent history of the Boulder Theater and its importance to the people of the city. The newest challenge that the theater faces today is a much needed renovation of its iconic Art Deco facade, a project championed by local non-profit Historic Boulder, Inc.
Life Rings
“A poignant film that delves into the significance of preserving not just homes but the stories they hold. Like the rings in a tree, every layer of a home captures the essence of our lives, a powerful reminder that our homes are more than just structures; they are the keepers of our most cherished memories and emotions.”
One Big Home
Gentrification comes in many forms. On the tiny island of Martha’s Vineyard, where presidents and celebrities vacation, trophy homes threaten to destroy the island’s unique character. Twelve years in the making, ONE BIG HOME follows one carpenter’s journey to understand the trend toward giant houses. When he feels complicit in wrecking the place he calls home, he takes off his tool belt and picks up a camera. Bumping up against angry homeowners and builders who look the other way, he works with his community and attempts to pass a new bylaw to limit house size.
If Our Walls Could Talk
Captured within the walls of Cape Cod’s historic houses are stories of its people, their traditions and values, their entrepreneurial spirits, their hopes and dreams.

- The first talk back will include a panel discussion with local experts who will reflect and bring home the importance of authenticity in historic preservation, the unique attributes of old growth wood (eco-consequences), and the thinking behind physically moving historic structures to bring them new life in new locations.
- The second talk back will include people associated with the two films, One Big Home and Save the Face. The first film, while taking place on Martha’s Vineyard, resonates with recent activity to legislate a limit to the size of “trophy homes” in Boulder County. The second film covers the necessity to provide resources to repair the classic art deco façade of one of Boulder’s most loved landmarks.
