Volunteering at Chautauqua

Thank you for your interest in volunteering!

Volunteers are an essential part of providing a memorable and enjoyable experience for Chautauqua patrons. Volunteer duties include greeting and welcoming guests, excellent customer service and ushering patrons to their seats.

Chautauqua respectfully requests a minimum commitment of at least four Auditorium ushering events per season. Typical Auditorium events require approximately a 4.5 hour commitment (6:30pm – 11:00 pm) and standing for extended periods of time. All volunteers will be subject to a pre-acceptance interview and must complete required orientation and safety training. The Chautauqua summer season runs May through September.
