Bath Amenities: In our guest cottages you will find Green Natura products, which feature natural ingredients and waste reducing packaging. The unique, donut-shaped bar soap is designed to eliminate the unused center portion of typical soaps, and comes in a box made of recycled paper and printed with soy ink. The shampoo and conditioner bottles are primarily made of biodegradable Plastarch Material (PSM).
Housekeeping: The cleaning products that our housekeepers use are safer for them, for you and for the environment. The "Green Solutions" products from AmSan have achieved the Green Seal certification by an independent non-profit agency because they reduce toxicity and waste, while conserving natural resources. We purchase in bulk to reduce cost and waste.
Retail: In the retail store found in our Lodging office, we offer earth-friendly products featuring organically grown fibers, non-toxic BPA-free materials, and environmentally sound production processes. Our main apparel vendors include Anvil Organics and Econscious.
Paper: All the paper products used throughout the Colorado Chautauqua – paper towels, toilet paper, tissue – are EcoSoft products. Made from 100% recycled material, they have been certified by the independent Green Seal program. Our marketing materials and correspondence are printed on recycled paper whenever possible.
Catering: Most of our private events utilize outside caterers, but when we provide coffee or tea service, we offer organic and free-trade products from Allegro and Celestial Seasonings. We continue to encourage our primary vendors to incorporate locally grown produce, organic ingredients, and compostable serving products into their standard practices.
