Embark on a special space forum with scientists from Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) as they address what New Horizons has discovered about Pluto, its moons and the space beyond. Southwest Research Institute has been an instrumental branch in the analysis of the data and images sent back from New Horizons as the interplanetary space probe flew by Pluto and entered the Kuiper belt.

The forum will include a short panel discussion with questions and answers taken from the audience. Dr. Kimberly Ennico Smith (NASA) will moderate a panel of young experts that have been working on the data. Dr. Alex Parker (SwRI) will address Pluto’s atmosphere and Dr. Jason Cook (SwRI) will speak about the composition of Pluto and Charon. Dr. Simon Porter (SwRI) will talk about the lesser moons and Dr. Marcus Piquette (CU) will address the ‘dust’ surrounding this interplanetary mission.
