Jean-Marie Zeitouni’s tenure as Music Director of the Colorado Music Festival begins with a magnificent medley of four of his favorite French and Italian works. The first half of the evening features Debussy’s beloved La Mer and Ravel’s Shéhérazade. Tim Orr, Producing Artistic Director for the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, will take the stage to read the three poems in Sheheradze. The second half includes a selection of operatic arias by Rossini and concludes with Respighi’s magnificent Pines of Rome. Jean-Marie is joined for this program by frequent collaborator, leading contralto Marie-Nicole Lemieux, winner of Belgium’s prestigious Queen Elizabeth Competition
