The beautiful Community House was built in 1918 to serve as the “living room” to the original tent residents of the Colorado Chautauqua. Today, it is host to intimate concerts, forums, films and educational programs throughout the year.
Just as attending a concert in the Chautauqua Auditorium in on the summer “must-do’ list, Community House concerts are a favorite amongst audiences looking to experience music in an intimate atmosphere.
The Grand Assembly, located upstairs in the Community House, features exquisite Arts & Crafts architecture with a wrap-around balcony inside and a huge, covered porch outside overlooking a garden with a brick path. We hope you will join us soon to experience a special performance in this extraordinary setting.
ADA venue access to the Grand Assembly (upstairs room) is available at the South/Morning Glory entrance of the Community House, via a lift. Venue access to the lower level Rocky Mountain Climbers Club and Meadows Room is street level on the north side of the building.
Designated accessible parking for persons with disabilities is available in front of the Community House and throughout the park. Please refer to a Colorado Chautauqua map for designated parking spots. All parking is “first come, first served.”
Service animals are permitted and admitted into the Community House. Each service animal must remain with its owner and be restrained. If any service animal interferes with other guests, corrective action may include rearranging seating or removal of the service animal from the venue.
ADA restroom facilities are available on both levels of the Community House. For accessibility questions or accommodations during a performance, please contact Public Events Manager, Julie Pomerantz at 303.952.1632 or by email at email@example.com.
