The Freshman (1925) – June 20

Featuring live musical accompaniment by Hank Troy, piano.

“The Freshman” (1925) is Harold Lloyd’s biggest hit in silent film cinema, where he stars as a new college student – dreaming of being the football-playing big man on campus. In a somewhat predictable fashion, his plans inevitably go awry. He ultimately proves his worth in one of the most famous sports sequences ever filmed, a crowd-pleasing showcase of Lloyd’s slapstick brilliance and charm. Watch the trailer here. Wednesday, June 20. 7:30 PM. Chautauqua Auditorium. Buy tickets online.
