AUTHOR

For 100 years, inspiring and engaging speakers have drawn crowds to the Chautauqua Community House. In the next three Author series events, hear from some of the brightest minds in the world of writing. New York Times bestselling author Cynthia Swanson will be discussing her new suspense novel, “The Glass Forest”, followed by Heather Hansen, who spent 18 months with the City of Boulder’s wildland firefighters. Outside Magazine contributing editor Florence Williams will round off April with a discussion of the science behind nature’s positive effects on the brain in her new book, “The Nature Fix”. All events are held in the Community House at 7:00 PM.

DANCE

Murmuration returns to Chautauqua- June 9

The wildly popular dance and music collective returns to the Chautauqua Auditorium this summer! An unparalleled event. this show pairs musicians and dancers in unexpected combinations to celebrate the community’s wide array of talent, creativity and diversity. From b-boys to ballerinas, and harpists to high school drumlines, Murmuration challenges the boundaries between dance and music. Watch a sneak-peak of the most exciting show of the season here. CAMP CHAUTAUQUA

Are your children ready for a new kind of summer camp?

Camp Chautauqua is not your typical camp. We have gone to great lengths to design an enriching experience that allows children ages 6-13 to develop important leadership skills, discover their passions, and forge a stronger connection to nature. Campers will team up with counselors from Watson University and Wild Bear Nature Center.
