Sign Painters: The Unacknowledged Artists – January 12

“Sign Painters,” directed by Faythe Levine & Sam Macon, stylistically explores the unacknowledged art form of hand-painted signs and their artists. These vanguards of unseen originality are leading a renaissance with a keen creative purpose and exemplify the working class American success story. This documentary celebrates those keeping the tradition intact with a bespoke approach and appreciation for a balance between art and commerce. Boulder local Steve Beach, who has painted signs for more than 20 years, will lead a post-screening discussion. Watch the official trailer here. Friday, January 12. 7:00 PM. Chautauqua Community House. Buy tickets online.
