How We Grow- February 22

Land access, income inequality, and short growing seasons are the tip of the iceberg of struggles when producing locally grown food. These obstacles only push these two ambitious young farmers to discover ways to get healthy, sustainably produced, nutrient dense food right from their own back yard onto the tables of everyone in the community. “How We Grow” is a coming of age story about a community that grows stronger to relearn how to work together and rebuild themselves around agriculture.

Filmmakers Haley Thompson and Tomas Zuccareno will lead a post-screening discussion on sustainable communities, guides to grow by, and reclaiming our food.
