Lost Girls of S. Sudan: Lost Girl Found – January 13

Join authors Leah Bassoff and Laura M. Deluca to learn about the traditions and struggles in Southern Sudan, and hear about the journey of female Sudanese refugees as they escape from violence to Colorado and pursue their dreams of education.

Leah Bassoff is a former assistant editor for Penguin Publishing and is a current middle school teacher at International School of Denver.

Maura Weiler: Contrition, From Page to Screen – January 19

Hear about Hollywood’s current preference of books for screenplays and learn why some work and some don’t, and how the process is unfolding for Marua Weiler’s best-selling debut novel, “Contrition.”

People of a Feather – January 22

Featuring stunning footage from seven winters in the Arctic, “People of a Feather” journeys through time into the world of the Inuit and explores their ancient relationship with the eider duck.

Biff Gore – January 29

Father, singer and Army veteran Biff Gore’s timeless raw vocals breathe life into the rhythm and blues he knows so well. Singing a powerful rendition of “A Change is Gonna Come” by Sam Cooke, Biff unanimously earned his position on Season 6 of NBC’s “The Voice.” Biff Gore will be joined by Jason Hickman on lead guitar for this special evening of R & B.
