![]() FILM2019 Chautauqua Silent Film series announcedTake a step back in time and enjoy the Chautauqua Auditorium’s silver screen as we celebrate the 34th annual Chautauqua Silent Film series. Weekly screenings will take place starting June 19 and run through August 7, featuring the film stars you know and love such as Charlie Chaplin, Harry Lloyd, Buster Keaton and many more. Each film is accompanied by live music provided by pianist Hank Troy, The Silent Cinema Trio or the Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra.

The Animas River was filled with mining-related sludge and toxic metals that poisoned 100 miles of stream, turning the river orange. “River of Lost Souls” examines just how damaging this mining incident was for the holy land of several southwestern tribes.
