SUMMARY:Blind Pilot + John Craigie
DESCRIPTION:Tickets Are Flying!\nZ2 Entertainment & 105.5 The Colorado Sound Present\n     \nDoor time: 6:00\nShow time: 7:00 \nBlind Pilot\nThe first Blind Pilot album in eight years\, In the Shadow of the Holy Mountain emerged from a period of artistic crisis and the radical transformation of their creative ecosystem. “I went through a few years where I wasn’t able to write—I tried therapy\, I read books on writer’s block\, I went on writing trips\, but nothing was helping\,” says Israel Nebeker\, frontman for the Oregon-bred band. After stepping back and reimagining his songwriting approach\, Nebeker challenged himself to write an entire album in a month\, then brought those songs to his bandmates with a newfound sense of receptivity. “I told myself that whatever songs came through in that month would be for the love of the band and music we make together\,” says Nebeker. “Instead of being controlling in the studio\, I wanted to let the songs live and breathe with the band as an entity. By the time we finished\, it was the most joy we’d ever had in making an album together.” \nProduced by Josh Kaufman (The Hold Steady\, David Wax Museum)\, In the Shadow of the Holy Mountain brings a potent new energy to the elegantly composed folk/indie-rock of past LPs like 2016’s And Then Like Lions. In a profound step forward for the band—whose lineup also includes drummer/co-founder Ryan Dobrowski\, bassist Luke Ydstie\, and multi-instrumentalist Kati Claborn—Blind Pilot’s fourth full-length unfolds with an exquisite fluidity\, fully harnessing the undeniable chemistry. “In the past we’ve always been very serious and intentional about the process\, but Josh often encouraged us to throw away our preconceived notions of what the songs were supposed to be\,” says Nebeker. “So much of the album came from all of us playing live together\, listening to each other and trusting our instincts\, and really getting to the core of the song\,” Dobrowski adds. The result: the most revelatory expression yet of Blind Pilot’s palpable reverence for music as a connective force. \nWhile Blind Pilot intends to tour principally as a quartet in support of the record\, the album includes contributions from longtime trumpeter/keyboardist Dave Jorgensen and vibraphonist Ian Krist. In bringing the album to life\, the band worked with a rich palette of instrumentation\, handling each track with equal parts extraordinary care and unbridled spontaneity. For both Dobrowski and Nebeker—who formed an early iteration of the band as college students in the mid-aughts—those moments of ineffably closeness serve as the lifeblood of Blind Pilot. “For me making this album felt like celebrating being together and still feeling that deep connection that’s been a throughline for our entire adult lives\,” Dobrowski says. “One of my very favorite things about music is the way it not only connects us as bandmates\, but allows us to connect to an audience—and then within that audience\, people end up connecting with each other. It’s this powerful thing that’s unlike anything else\, and in a way it’s kind of like magic.” \n \nJohn Craigie\nFor over a decade\, John Craigie has made music that brings people in\, not with spectacle but with sincerity and songs that feel like conversations. \nHis new album I Swam Here\, out February 6\, 2026 on Zabriskie Point Records\, was written and produced by Craigie and recorded between New Orleans and Astoria. Seven tracks were cut at Deslonde St Studios with musicians handpicked by Sam Doores of The Deslondes\, including Howe Pearson\, Max Bien Khan\, Jonny Campos\, and a guest appearance from Desiree Cannon. Longtime collaborator Anna Moss appears across much of the record. The remaining tracks were finished at the Rope Room in Astoria\, carrying over the same spirit and palette. The cover art\, painted by Brittany Schall\, nods to the design of mid century samba and jazz records. \nThe album’s singles trace the path of its making. “Fire Season\,” engineered by Bart Budwig\, was one of the first songs written and features Cooper Trail\, Nevada Sowle\, Luke Ydstie\, and Jamie Greenan. “Dry Land” was reworked in Astoria after early New Orleans sessions didn’t feel right. “Edna Strange\,” inspired by Marty Robbins\, is the only track where Craigie plays steel string acoustic\, with Max Bien Khan on nylon string leads and a trio vocal arrangement in place of Moss’s harmonies. \nFollowing 2024’s Pagan Church with TK & The Holy Know-Nothings\, which spent six weeks at #1 on the Americana Albums chart\, I Swam Here feels both expansive and intimate\, shaped by the musical history of the Gulf Coast and the stillness of the Pacific Northwest. \nCraigie remains a tireless live performer\, touring throughout the U.S.\, Europe\, and Australia\, appearing at festivals like Newport Folk\, Pickathon\, Edmonton Folk Festival\, and High Sierra\, and sharing the stage with artists such as Langhorne Slim\, Sierra Hull\, Gregory Alan Isakov\, Brett Dennen\, and Jack Johnson. His annual #KeepItWarm Tour donates $1 from every ticket sold to regional nonprofits\, and his John Craigie On The River trips on the Tuolumne and Rogue rivers have become cherished gatherings for fans. \nI Swam Here is a grounded\, collaborative step forward\, blending New Orleans grit with Pacific Northwest quiet\, and showing a songwriter still widening the world of his music. \n \nTICKET PRICES ARE INCLUSIVE OF FEES.

SUMMARY:The Robert Cray Band - All Amped Up Tour 2026
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Z2 Entertainment\n \nDoor time: 6:30\nShow time: 7:30 \nRobert Cray Premium Merchandise Package: \n-Premium Concert Ticket\n-Exclusive T-shirt\n-Autographed 8×10 Photo\n-Exclusive Guitar Keychain \n*Merchandise is shipped the week of the show date to the address provided at checkout and may arrive shortly before or after the show. For questions related to your VIP Package order\, please email: VIP@ONELIVE.COM or call (877) 717-5816.  \n  \nBlues icon. Soul man. Rock and roller. Robert Cray is all these things – and more. The Georgia-born\, Washington-raised musician first picked up a guitar after seeing The Beatles on TV then\, having witnessed Jimi Hendrix perform in Seattle\, determined that his destiny would also follow a similar path. And so he has: across the past half century Robert Cray’s developed into one of American music’s most singular artists. \n“I guess you’d have to say that we were lucky\,” reflects Cray on his life in music\, “because\, growing up in the 1960s\, the different music played on the radio really opened us up. I mean\, we even had Albert Collins play our high School graduation party.” \nFrom forming a teenage garage band\, through to striding the stage alongside several of the world’s greatest guitarists\, Robert Cray’s story is one of struggle and commitment. Struggle and commitment that led to Cray enjoying phenomenal success – selling millions of albums and countless concert tickets\, winning five Grammy Awards\, being inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame\, recipient of the Americana Music Lifetime Achievement Award\, designing two signature model Fender guitars – yet for Robert what’s always mattered most is the music. Every note he plays counts\, every song he sings is delivered as if it is his last: integrity and intensity are what has guided Cray’s musical career. He has never cheapened his output or delivered a substandard performance. \nIndeed\, his commitment to making music of the highest standard has won Cray both a loyal audience and the respect of many of popular music’s most legendary figures. \nThink about it: Robert Cray has shared stage and/or studio with the likes of John Lee Hooker\, Muddy Waters\, B.B. King\, Buddy Guy\, Chuck Berry\, Albert Collins\, The Rolling Stones\, Eric Clapton\, Tina Turner\, Stevie Ray Vaughan\, the Memphis Horns and Hi Rhythm Section. Cray’s stinging guitar playing and soulful voice\, his skills as a band leader and performer\, mark him as keeper of the flame for American roots music\, an artist who never fails to deliver. \n“We were so lucky just be able to see them\,” says Cray of trading guitar licks on stage with legends of blues\, rock and soul\, “let alone share the stage with them – what an experience!” \nCray’s rise to the top was\, like his music\, a slow burn\, he first building a following in small towns across the Pacific Northwest. Even before Cray had a record deal he enjoyed local hero status – so much so in 1978 he was cast (as a musician) in Animal House\, the blockbuster comedy that made John Belushi famous. 1978 was also the year Cray recorded his debut album\, Who’s Been Talkin’\, although Tomato Records’ internal problems held up Talkin’s release until 1980. And then\, just as Talkin’ was winning great reviews\, Tomato collapsed into bankruptcy. Got the blues? Young Robert certainly could have claimed he had them. But Cray isn’t given to complaining\, instead he persevered\, committed then\, as he is now\, to taking his music to the people. \nAfter Tomato\, Cray and his band – today consisting of Richard Cousins (bass guitar – there since high school days)\, Dover Weinberg (keyboards) and Les Falconer (drums) – used the momentum the album gave them to play further afield. By now Cray was buddies with a young guitarist from Texas: Stevie Ray Vaughan. \n“We played in 1979 at the San Francisco Blues Festival\,” recalls Cray\, “and I watched Stevie’s show and he’s just smoking. Afterwards Richard and I went up and chatted with him and we just hit it off. Stevie was great – if we were in Austin he’d always come and join us on stage.” \nSigning to Hightone\, Cray’s 1983 album Bad Influence established him internationally: he was invited to play Carnegie Hall\, toured Europe\, later finding Eric Clapton recording Bad Influence’s title track. 1985 saw Cray’s False Accusations album increase his standing as the foremost singer of blues noir songs\, while that year’s Showdown! – a sizzling collaboration with guitarists’ Albert Collins and Johnny Copeland – won Robert huge acclaim from blues musicians and fans: the new guy’s the real deal! Signing to Mercury Records\, Cray’s 1986 album Strong Persuader ensured he became the first blues/soul musician to breakthrough in the MTV era. \nStrong Persuader won Cray rave reviews from pop and rock critics\, topped charts worldwide\, saw Cray grace the cover of Rolling Stone magazine and winning the Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Recording in 1988. Strong Persuader\, with its songs of infidelity\, guilt and unease\, while not in any sense conventional Top 40 music\, proved so strong an album it broke through barriers\, sold millions of copies and would prove extremely influential (2026 being the 40th anniversary.) Cray’s breakthrough allowed both young and older blues and soul musicians to gain wide attention and radio play: John Lee Hooker’s career resurrection came soon after with The Healer\, and Robert plays on that seminal album. \n“It was great to be able to travel around the world\,” says Cray of Strong Persuader’s success. “It afforded us a lot of great opportunities that we were lucky to experience.” \nCray’s being modest here: suddenly he found himself the hottest guitarist working – Tina Turner invited Robert to support her huge European tour (every night\, after playing with his band\, Cray would join Tina on stage to play A Change Is Gonna Come)\, then Keith Richards called\, requesting Cray join the band backing Chuck Berry for Taylor Hackford’s celebratory feature length documentary Hail Hail Rock ‘N’ Roll. Here Cray not only got to play with the mercurial Berry (+Linda Ronstadt and Etta James\, amongst many notable artists)\, he also formed a friendship with Steve Jordan\, then drummer for the project and Richards’ solo band. \nNow internationally famous\, Cray found himself in intense demand: he toured with The Stones and played with B.B King\, Buddy Guy and Eric Clapton. Headlining in noted music festivals – these included Glastonbury in the UK and Crossroads Guitar Festival in the US – and kept developing his sound over a selection of strong albums across the 1990s. Cray’s songwriting has addressed ageing\, love\, loneliness\, domestic turmoil and US politics. \nAs an artist Robert Cray’s aged like fine wine – his voice has developed a greater range and expressiveness\, this he’s put to use on masterful interpretations of such Southern soul standards as I Forgot To Be Your Lover (William Bell)\, Your Good Thing Is About To End (Mable John) and Nobody’s Fault But Mine (Otis Redding). At the same time\, Cray’s guitar playing now possesses an additional depth\, a growl that can hint at a caress then signal emotional upheaval. \nHis recent run of albums – 2014’s In My Soul\, 2017’s Robert Cray & Hi Rhythm and 2020’s masterful That’s What I Heard (all produced by Steve Jordan: now the Stones’ drummer) – are amongst the very finest he’s made. Every song here is deeply felt\, whether an agonised song of loss\, an angry protest number\, or a dance tune that gets audiences pumping (My Baby Likes To Boogaloo is great funky fun). \nAcross five decades Robert Cray has created a richly inclusive American music\, revitalising both blues and soul while rocking hard with the very best. To achieve 50 years in the music industry and still be as fresh and committed as when starting out is an achievement few can boast of but Cray can: he has released 19 studio albums\, every one replete with his extremely distinctive songs\, won five Grammy Awards and continues to make music that sounds like no one but Robert Cray. “All these years we have been fortunate to do what we love doing\, playing the music we love playing\,” says Cray with a smile. “I couldn’t ask for anything more. \nTICKET PRICES ARE INCLUSIVE OF FEES.

SUMMARY:Rosanne Cash with John Leventhal
DESCRIPTION:Low Ticket Alert!\nPresented by Z2 Entertainment\n \nDoor time: 6:30\nShow time: 7:30 \n“One of the most ambitious and literary songwriters of her generation” (Rolling Stone)\, Rosanne Cash is America’s foremost musical woman of letters\, a literate and incisive artist whose poignant and distinctive vocals turn every song into a revelatory tale. A singular artist at the peak of her interpretive powers\, Cash has earned four Grammy awards—three for The River & The Thread (2014\, Blue Note)—and 12 additional nominations. Among many other accolades\, in 2021\, she became the first woman to receive the Edward MacDowell award for music composition. Her acclaimed 2010 memoir Composed has been described by the Chicago Tribune as “one of the best accounts of an American life you’ll likely ever read.” Cash was recently elected as an Honorary American member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters. \n“I consider artists to be in the service industry; the premier service industry for the heart and soul. I am curious to a pathological degree\, and the Sword of Time hangs over me\, and those two things— curiosity and the hourglass— make me feel more urgent than ever to connect\, to find community\, and to create. It doesn’t matter what the world thinks; it only matters that what is unsaid and what is unseen is given form and has a voice.” \nIn 2023\, Rosanne and her husband\, John Leventhal\, the six-time Grammy-winning songwriter\, producer and life-long creative partner\, launched RumbleStrip Records\, an initiative to reexamine and reissue Rosanne’s early work\, originally released on Columbia / Sony Music\, and beyond. \nThe first two releases were a deluxe remastered version and first vinyl pressing of the 30th anniversary of Cash’s landmark album\, The Wheel and Leventhal’s debut solo album\, Rumble Strip (2024)\, released 50 years into his remarkable career. 2025 begins with The Essential Collection\, a new 40 song/40 year 2CD compilation highlighting Rosanne’s deep catalogue of songs\, including 10 number 1 hits. The album coincides with the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum exhibit\, Rosanne Cash: Time Is A Mirror. The exhibit explores Cash’s more than 40-year journey as an artist\, songwriter and storyteller\, and how she has embodied both tradition and innovation across her musical career. It runs through March 2026. \nCash and Leventhal are currently writing the music to the theatrical production of Norma Rae. \n \nTICKET PRICES ARE INCLUSIVE OF FEES.

SUMMARY:DakhaBrakha
DESCRIPTION:Z2 Entertainment\, 88.5 KGNU\, & Sunflower Seeds Ukraine Present\n          \nDoor time: 6:30\nShow time: 7:30 \nDakhaBrakha is a music quartet from Kyiv\, Ukraine. Their “ethno chaos” sound spans years of performances prior to Russia’s 2022 invasion\, but war is in everything now. They masterfully blend Ukrainian traditional music with influences from around the world\, resulting in an unexpected new music. \nTraditional music has seen a resurgence in Ukraine over the past decades\, after being suppressed during Soviet rule. DakhaBrakha uses Ukrainian polyphony as its foundation\, interweaving complex rhythmic and melodic structures from India\, Arabia\, Africa\, and Australia. Their music is textural\, layered sounds with distinctive percussive heartbeats\, thumping bass lines\, distorted electric guitars and influences of jazz\, spoken word\, rap and even punk. DakhaBrakha calls this tapestry of influences “ethno chaos.” And this chaos is a strength\, allowing them to draw in strands of music that connect Ukraine with the world. \nThey are troubadours\, activists and educators. Though their name means Give/Take in the old language\, DakhaBrakha is new Ukraine\, both pre-colonial and post-Soviet\, working within a global network of art and music. They aim to help audiences see Ukraine not as a monolith\, but as a cosmopolitan culture that takes in other cultures and gives in return.  \nDakhaBrakha was created in 2004 at the Kyiv Center of Contemporary Art “DAKH” by the avant-garde theatre director Vladyslav Troitskyi. Theatre work has left its mark on the band performances – their shows are always staged with a strong visual element. Projected behind them are a mix of animations from different Ukrainian artists and photos of life in today’s Ukraine. Some are celebratory\, bright and bold. Some are dark\, others curious\, a reflection of the many facets of Ukrainian culture. \nIn March 2011 DakhaBrakha was discovered by Australian Womadelaide and began their ascent in the international music scene. They have since played hundreds of concerts and performances at major international festivals including Big Ears Festival\, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival\, WOMAD\, Roskilde Festival and on the main stage at the Glastonbury Festival. In March 2020\, DakhaBrakha won the Shevchenko National Prize for Musical Arts – the biggest award in Ukraine in the sphere of contemporary art – and confirmed its place in the culture once again. In 2023 DakhaBrakha won globalFEST’s Artist Award in the USA and became Chevaliers of the Order of Arts in France. \nThe band is currently in the process of recording their first album since 2020 in Kyiv (Ukraine)\, which combines material created before and during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.  \n \nTICKET PRICES ARE INCLUSIVE OF FEES.

DESCRIPTION:Presented by Z2 Entertainment & 88.5 KGNU\n      \nDoor time: 6:30\nShow time: 7:30 \n“THE COUNTRY STAR” VIP PACKAGE: \nAdmission to a private pre-show event at Chautauqua featuring a two-song performance by Marty and the Superlatives\, along with a Q&A Storytelling session with Marty and Band\n\nOne VIP Laminate and Lanyard\nCrowd Free Merchandise Shopping\nOne special edition poster\n\n\nMarty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives\n\n\nIn a career spanning over 50 years\, dozens of albums\, and too many shows to count\, Marty Stuart still charts a course through new territory at every chance possible. The five-time GRAMMY® Award winner\, Congress of Country Music Founder\, Country Music Hall of Famer\, and AMA Lifetime Achievement Award recipient has left an indelible mark on successive eras of country music and culture. He went from accompanying Lester Flatt and Johnny Cash to launching a storied solo career highlighted by classic albums such as the Gold-certified Hillbilly Rock and Platinum-certified This One’s Gonna Hurt You\, as well as GRAMMY® Award-winning anthems\, including “The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’” [with Travis Tritt] and “Same Old Train.” Immersing himself in the world of film and television\, he notably scored All The Pretty Horses\, garnering a Golden Globe® Award nomination for “Best Original Score” and earning GRAMMY® Awards in the category of “Best Country Instrumental Performance” for “Foggy Mountain Breakdown” and “Hummingbyrd.” Recently\, 2023’s Altitude incited widespread critical applause. Of the latter\, Associated Press applauded how\, “Guitarist Kenny Vaughan\, drummer Harry Stinson and bassist Chris Scruggs match Stuart’s guitar virtuosity\, with thrilling results\,” and American Songwriter attested\, “Altitude finds Stuart is putting his own stamp on a traditional vein of country.” NPR put it best\, “For millions\, Marty Stuart is the very image of country music—splendid jackets\, musical mastery and his respect for country’s traditions and a good jolt of humor.” You’d be hard-pressed to find a corner of country music he hasn’t impacted though. Speaking to his influence\, he hosted the long-running fan favorite television series The Marty Stuart Show and notably remains a member of the Country Music Foundation and Grand Ole Opry. Moreover\, the Country Music Hall of Fame inducted him during 2020. He also curated and launched Marty Stuart’s Congress of Country Music in Philadelphia\, MS\, preserving and celebrating the genre and its history. Joined by his longtime band The Fabulous Superlatives\, he cruises into another stratosphere with his first-ever full-length double LP of original instrumentals entitled Space Junk. The cover art of Space Junk is a painting by Stuart’s longtime hero and pal\, Herb Alpert\, leader of the Tijuana Bass\, a group Stuart considers to be one of the greatest instrumental bands of all time. The inimitable interplay between Marty\, Kenny Vaughan\, Harry Stinson\, and Chris Scruggs fuels this cosmic cowboy trip with sun-kissed surf guitar\, breezy California rhythms\, soul-stirring steel\, and fluid fretwork all around. Space Junk sounds like country music’s preeminent band crash landing on a Malibu beach and performing the most epic jam you’ve ever witnessed by starlight… \n \n\nGreg Schochet & Little America\nGreg Schochet & Little America may be a newly formed band\, but one that has been a long time coming. Greg is twenty plus years into a Colorado performing career\, and his first foray into fronting a band is heavy on musical vision and loaded with accomplished players. Already renowned as a first call country and bluegrass picker\, Greg has assembled a crew to funnel that experience into a Western Swing powerhouse that harkens back to Colorado’s halcyon 70s era. With pedal steel and alto sax bringing the country and swing bona fides\, upright bass and drums keep it dancing. Sure there are Bob Wills\, Emmylou Harris and Red Knuckles nods\, but also original songs and deep cuts from unexpected sources. The band has been warmly received in its first  few seasons of touring\, with appearances at the Pagosa Folk ’n Bluegrass Festival\, Dairy Center for the Arts and the Boulder Theater.\nTICKET PRICES ARE INCLUSIVE OF FEES.

SUMMARY:SYML: Solo in North America with Nathaniel Riley
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Z2 Entertainment\n \nDoor time: 6:30\nShow time: 7:30 \nSYML\nSYML is the solo venture of Seattle artist Brian Fennell. Welsh for “simple”—he makes music that taps into the instincts that drive us to places of sanctuary\, whether that be a place or a person. \nFennell’s latest offering\, Nobody Lives Here\, marks his clearest\, crispest writing. Written\, recorded\, and produced by him and his longtime collaborator Brian Eichelberger\, it is fueled by the keen understanding that life is a contradiction\, a fleeting moment. But as we accept the presence of loss\, we can still welcome others into our space with melody\, lyrics\, a slide guitar\, or a cello’s hum. His sense of humanity is his musical compass. As an artist\, Fennell takes license to both gut and be gutted. “If the dark inspires the good\, that’s a good thing to be honest about\,” he says. \nHe released his self-titled debut album in 2019\, which includes the multi-platinum song “Where’s My Love” and the Gold Record fan favorite “Girl.” His 2023 sophomore album\, The Day My Father Died\, described by NPR as “euphoric\,” was recorded at Studio X with renowned producer Phil Ek and features collaborations with Elbow’s Guy Garvey\, Lucius\, Sara Watkins of Nickel Creek\, and Charlotte Lawrence. His music has become the soundtrack to countless films and TV shows and was used by Lana Del Rey on the song “Paris\, TX\,” from her Grammy-nominated 2023 album. \nWith over four billion streams\, the multi-platinum artist looks at grief\, loss\, mortality\, and the passing of time directly in the eye\, unwavering and harmonious. \nIn 2024\, SYML launched the imprint\, FIN. Recordings\, a collaboration with his label\, Nettwerk Music Group\, and management Good Harbor Music \n \nNathaniel Riley\nNathaniel Riley\, a folk singer/songwriter from South Dakota\, put in his time working the small family farm and recording melancholic melodies in his basement. Treading with years of grief that constructed a cloud full of songs that Nathaniel lugged to Colorado began the process of his debut full length album\, “Bird Songs” \nNathaniel’s songscapes lean on your heartstrings\, unpacking melodies like a nostalgic lucid dream. Acoustically driven\, wistful lyricism and ambient instrumentation provide the bedrock for his contemporary folktales. Compiling miles of desolation\, heartache\, introspection and memories of the forest and the prairie’s whistle that convey him to persist. Empowering his songs their role\, to be a beacon on the hill. \nThe sound and songs arrived abundantly\, easily and honestly. Nathaniel began recording his album “Bird Songs”\, with Aaron Youngberg at Swingfingers Recording Studios in Fort Collins\, Colorado in September of 2020. \nDarren Garvey came on as a producer for the record\, bringing a grass-roots perspective and an experimental\, contemporary ear. \n“I always loved pushing the boundaries of genres and wanted to create something familiar to myself in a couple different ways. One of which was to bring ambient ethereal sounds to the record that may not be commonly found on records claiming to be primarily folk\,” says Riley. \n“I love the process of recording and the almost immortal aspect it provides\,” Riley says. “You will forever hear the person’s skin on the strings\, the breath before they sing. Living proof of somebody being alive\, and it remains there\, like a little memory box of sound forever. Itself\, never changing.” \nTICKET PRICES ARE INCLUSIVE OF FEES.

SUMMARY:The Jayhawks + James McMurtry
DESCRIPTION:Z2 Entertainment & 105.5 The Colorado Sound Present\n   \nDoor time: 6:30\nShow time: 7:30 \nThe Jayhawks\nThe Jayhawks and their rootsy sound were definitely swimming against the tide when they emerged from a crowded Minnesota music scene in 1985. Over the course of almost 4 decades\, 11 albums\, countless memorable live shows and enough personal drama to fill a couple of Behind the Music episodes\, this beloved band soared to heights few ever achieve while winning the hearts and minds of numerous critics\, fans and peers in the process. After releasing two Indie albums in the 80s The Jayhawks signed with American Recordings in 1991 and over the next decade released 5 challenging\, at times groundbreaking\, albums\, toured the world to widespread acclaim and even survived the departure of founding member Mark Olson in 1995. \nAfter a hiatus in the mid 2000s\, the “classic” 1994 lineup reunited for another new studio album in 2011 and 2 years of solid touring\, reacquainting audiences old and new with the band’s timeless musical vision. 2014 saw a late 90s version of the band led by Gary Louris hitting the road to support the reissues of the 3 Jayhawks albums released from 1997-2003. This lineup released the band’s 9th studio album in 2016\, recorded  in Portland\, OR with producers Peter Buck and Tucker Martine. The band’s next studio album\, Back Roads And Abandoned Motels\, was released in the summer of 2018\, featuring Jayhawks versions of songs Gary Louris had previously written with other artists plus 2 new compositions. Recording for a new Jayhawks album was completed in Minnesota in late 2019 and in July 2020 the band released their 11th studio album\, XOXO. In early 2025 the band announced the that work had begun on their 12th studio album\, slated to come out in 2026\, which will be the 40th anniversary of the release of their first album. 2026 has officially been designated as “The Year Of The Hawk.” \n \nJames McMurtry\nJames McMurtry released The Black Dog and the Wandering Boy on June 20th via New West Records. The 10-song collection was co-produced by McMurtry & Don Dixon (R.E.M.\, The Smithereens) and is his first album in four years.  It follows his 2021 acclaimed new West debut\, The Horses and the Hounds\, which UnCut Magazine said “lifts storytelling-in-song to meticulous new levels” and Pitchfork awarded an 8.0\, saying “James McMurtry stands out even among the Lone Star State’s finest songwriters…” The Black Dog and the Wandering Boy features appearances by Sarah Jarosz\, Charlie Sexton\, Bonnie Whitmore\, Bukka Allen and more\, alongside his trusted backing band\, THE MARTIAL LAW REVIEW\, Tim Holt on guitar and accordion\, Cornbread on bass and Daren Hess on drums. \nAs varied as they are\, McMurtry’s new story-songs find inspiration in scraps from his family’s past: a rough pencil sketch by Ken Kesey that serves as the album cover\, the hallucinations experienced by his father\, the legendary writer Larry McMurtry\, an old poem by a family friend.  A supremely insightful and inventive storyteller\, McMurtry teases vivid worlds out of small details\, setting them to arrangements that have elements of Americana but sound too sly and smart for such a general category. Funny and sad often in the same breath\, The Black Dog and the Wandering Boy adds a new chapter to a long career that has young songwriters like Sarah Jarosz and Jason Isbell cite him as a formative influence. \n \nTICKET PRICES ARE INCLUSIVE OF FEES.

SUMMARY:Cowboy Junkies - Celebrating 40 Years and Beyond
DESCRIPTION:Tickets Are Flying!\nZ2 Entertainment & 105.5 The Colorado Sound Present\n   \nDoor time: 6:30\nShow time: 7:30 \n“One of the most unique and enduring bands in alternative rock”\n– All Music \n“Margo Timmins’s voice is as melancholy and enchanting as ever”\n– The New York Times \n“There’s something that is nearly miraculous about the way Margo Timmins’ beautiful voice fits with those pained lyrics written by her brother Michael Timmins…the result is some truly transformative music.”\n– The Mercury News \nCowboy Junkies will be performing a career-spanning show from The Trinity Session to their recent album\, Such Ferocious Beauty! \nAbout Cowboy Junkies\nSometimes revolutions begin quietly. \nIn 1988\, Cowboy Junkies proved that there was an audience waiting for something quiet\, beautiful and reflective. The Trinity Session was like a whisper that cut through the noise — and it was compelling. It stood out in the midst of the flash and bombast that came to define the late 80’s. The now classic recording combined folk\, blues and rock in a way that had never been heard before and went on to sell more than a million copies. \nFormed in Toronto in 1985 with siblings Michael Timmins on guitar\, Margo Timmins on vocals\, Peter Timmins on drums\, and Michael’s lifelong friend Alan Anton on bass\, the band has sparkled over the course of 29 albums. “I’ve known Alan longer than I’ve known Pete\,” says Michael. “We were friends before Pete was born.” \nUnlike most long-lasting groups\, Cowboy Junkies have never had a break up or taken a sanity-saving hiatus. There’s an appreciation of each other that keeps them constantly working. “It’s that intimacy and understanding of what each one of us brings to the table\,” says Michael. \n \nTICKET PRICES ARE INCLUSIVE OF FEES.

If a sound intrigues him\, he sets out to make it. If origins mystify him\, he moves to trace them. If rules get in his way\, he unapologetically breaks them. To Taj\, convention means nothing\, but traditions are holy. He has pushed music and culture forward\, all while looking lovingly back. \n“I just want to be able to make the music that I’m hearing come to me — and that’s what I did\,” Taj says. The 82-year-old is home in Berkeley\, reflecting on six + decades of music making. “When I say\, ‘I did\,’ I’m not coming from the ego. The music comes from somewhere. You’re just the conduit it comes through. You’re there to receive the gift.” \nTaj is a towering musical figure — a legend who transcended the blues not by leaving them behind\, but by revealing their magnificent scope to the world. “The blues is bigger than most people think\,” he says. “You could hear Mozart play the blues. It might be more like a lament. It might be more melancholy. But I’m going to tell you: the blues is in there. \nIf anyone knows where to find the blues\, it’s Taj. A brilliant artist with a musicologist’s mind\, he has pursued and elevated the roots of beloved sounds with boundless devotion and skill. Then\, as he traced origins to the American South\, the Caribbean\, Africa\, and elsewhere\, he created entirely new sounds\, over and over again. As a result\, he’s not only a god to rock-and-roll icons such as Eric Clapton and the Rolling Stones\, but also a hero to ambitious artists toiling in obscurity who are determined to combine sounds that have heretofore been ostracized from one another. No one is as simultaneously traditional and avant-garde. \nQuantifying Taj’s significance is impossible\, but people try anyway. A 2022 Grammy win for ‘Get On Board’ for his collaboration with Ry Cooder\, then a trip with his Sextet to Leon Russell’s Church Studio in Tulsa\, OK to record ‘Swingin’ Live at the Church Studio in Tulsa\,’ yet another Grammy win\, brought his Grammy tally to five wins and 16 nominations\, and underscored his undiminished relevance more than 50 years after his solo debut. Blues Hall of Fame membership\, a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Americana Music Association\, 2025 Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award Honoree and other honors punctuate his resumé. He appreciates the accolades\, but his motivation lies elsewhere. “It’s not a hunger\, not a lust or even a thirst\,” Taj says of what drives him. “It’s just more knowledge of self — to realize that almost everything is right here. We’re so used to looking outside of ourselves for things\, and it’s right here.” \nTaj’s exploration of music began as an exploration of self. He was born in 1942 in Harlem to musical parents — his father was a jazz pianist with Caribbean roots; mother was a gospel-singing schoolteacher from South Carolina — who cultivated an appreciation for both personal history and the arts in their son. “I was raised really conscious of my African roots\,” Taj says. “So I was trying to find out: where does what we do here connect to what we left there?” In the early 1950s\, his family moved to Springfield\, Massachusetts — a microcosmic melting pot for immigrants from across the globe: the Caribbean\, the American South\, Europe\, the Mediterranean\, Syria\, Lebanon. “Music was everywhere\,” he says. “Things were different in those days. There weren’t a lot of places that African Americans had to go out to entertain themselves. So people did a lot of entertaining in their homes. Friday or Saturday night\, you’d move the furniture\, mop and wax the floor\, and set things up so people could pop over and hear all the music.” Musicians and friends from around the world passed through\, ate home-cooked feasts\, and led neighborhood jam sessions and dance parties in cozy living rooms. \nFrom the beginning\, Taj found the blues magnetic\, even as most artists around him in the Northeast were exploring other sounds. “I could hear little strains of the blues coming through — you could feel that energy in the music that was being played\,” he says. “I could also feel that energy of the blues inside myself.” Piano lessons didn’t stick — “I’d already heard what I wanted to play” – so when a blues guitarist from North Carolina moved in next door\, Taj found an early mentor and was off. \nFor college\, Taj attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He graduated after studying agriculture and animal husbandry. “I knew I’d like to connect myself to something on this planet that’s meaningful\,” he says. “That’s why I was interested in agriculture and music. Those were the two things that I recognized even as a very young child that people are never going to do without.” \nIn 1964\, Taj packed up and headed west. In Los Angeles\, he formed six-piece the Rising Sons with Ry Cooder. The group opened for Otis Redding\, the Temptations\, and more\, and recorded an album\, but it wasn’t released until about 30 years later. “I guess that’s when they decided\, ‘Whoa. I guess this guy is real\,'” Taj says\, with a hint of a smirk. He’s referring to record executives — a breed for whom he has little patience. “For me\, playing the old music was a refuge from all the stupid stuff that was going on\,” he says\, pausing for a moment to point out commercialization’s limiting effects on what was both recorded and heard. \nIn 1967\, Taj’s self-titled debut announced the arrival of bold young bluesman. The following year ushered in two milestones: sophomore album The Natch’l Blues dropped\, and Taj performed in The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus\, a film featuring performances from the Stones\, The Who\, Marianne Faithfull\, Martha and the Vandellas\, and others meant for the BBC but pulled and kept from public eyes until 1996. In 1969\, full of music and only just beginning\, Taj released Giant Step / De Ole Folks at Home\, a massive double album that hinted at Taj’s refusal to be boxed in. \nThe 70s were a productive and ambitious recording period for Taj that included the Grammy-nominated soundtrack for the film Sounder. He began experimenting with global fusions and flirtations\, signaling to listeners his restless intention to discover both new and old and disregard commercially imposed boundaries. In the 80s\, Taj moved to Hawaii\, and fell in love with sounds native to the island as he toured constantly\, internationally. His gritty blues began to incorporate Latin\, reggae\, Caribbean\, calypso\, cajun\, jazz\, and more\, all layered over a distinctly Afrocentric roots base he’d been raised to rediscover. \nFor Taj\, the 90s were incredibly prolific. Back-to-back Grammy wins for the Best Contemporary Blues Album recognized two dynamic projects with the Phantom Blues Band: Señor Blues and Shoutin’ in Key. “I noticed that when it came to complicated pieces of blues music\, they’d never get played\,” Taj says. “It’s one of the reasons we put Señor Blues out — to say\, ‘You guys\, you know there is more that just the same old [imitates a beat] di da di di di da.’ It’s good when you believe it when you’re playing it. But just to play it as a cliche? That’s real boring. And real tiring.” Collaborations with Hawaiian\, African\, Indian\, and other musicians helped define his decade. \nOver the years\, Taj had also emerged as a mind-boggling\, multifaceted player. In addition to the guitar\, he has become proficient on about 20 different instruments — and counting. “There weren’t an awful lot of people still playing these instruments that came from my culture\,” Taj explains. “Not that they didn’t before\, but nobody was playing them in the time I was. But I wanted to hear them. So I watched people play\, got one\, sat down\, remembered the music that I was listening to\, and started picking it out on the mandolin or banjo or 12-string.” \nTaj didn’t slow down as he entered the 21st century. Maestro\, marking the 40th anniversary of his recording career and featuring a global mix of voices ranging from Angelique Kidjo to Los Lobos to Ziggy Marley to Ben Harper\, dropped in 2008. In 2017\, his highly anticipated collaboration with Keb’ Mo’ —TajMo — netted Taj his third Grammy. Their partnership continued in 2023-24 when they regrouped to record the follow up TajMo record due out in Spring 2025. 2022’s Grammy for ‘Get on Board’ with Ry Cooder\, Taj’s live record from the Church Studio in Tulsa\, ‘Savoy’ are amongst a few of the several projects he is either touring behind or currently in the works\, as Taj remains excited by fresh young voices trying new things and exhumed treasures that have been buried too long. \nAs Taj thinks about the dozens and dozens of albums\, collaborations\, live experiences\, and captured sounds\, he finds satisfaction in one main idea. “As long as I’m never sitting here\, saying to myself\, ‘You know? You had an idea 50 years ago\, and you didn’t follow through\,’ I’m really happy\,” he says. “It doesn’t even matter that other people get to hear it. It matters that I get to hear it — that I did it.” \nKeb’ Mo’\nWith five GRAMMYs\, 14 Blues Foundation Awards\, and a groundbreaking career spanning nearly 50 years under his belt\, Keb’ Mo’s got nothing left to prove. Just don’t tell him that. \nBorn and raised in Compton\, Keb’ began his remarkable journey at the age of 21\, when he landed his first major gig playing with Jefferson Airplane violinist Papa John Creach. For the next 20 years\, Keb’ would work primarily behind the scenes\, establishing himself as a respected guitarist\, songwriter\, and arranger with a unique gift for linking the past and present in his evocative playing and singing.  In 1994 he would introduce the world to Keb’ Mo’ with the release of his widely acclaimed self-titled debut. Critics were quick to take note of Keb’s modern\, genre-bending take on old school sounds\, and two years later\, he garnered his first GRAMMY Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album with Just Like You. In the decades to come\, Keb’ would take home four more GRAMMY Awards; top the Billboard Blues Chart seven times; perform everywhere from Carnegie Hall to The White House; collaborate with many including Taj Mahal\, Willie Nelson\, Bonnie Raitt\, The Chicks\, and Lyle Lovett; have compositions recorded and sampled by artists as diverse as B.B. King\, Zac Brown\, and BTS; release signature guitars with both Gibson and Martin; compose music for television series like Mike and Molly\, Memphis Beat\, B Positive\, Leanne\, and Martha Stewart Living; and earn the Americana Music Association’s 2021 award for Lifetime Achievement in Performance. \nIn addition to his extraordinary musical output\, Keb’ also established himself as a captivating onscreen presence over the years\, appearing as himself in Martin Scorcese’s The Blues\, Aaron Sorkin’s The West Wing\, and even the iconic children’s series Sesame Street. He flexed his acting chops in a wide variety of projects\, as well\, portraying Robert Johnson in the 1998 documentary Can’t You Hear The Wind Howl\, Howlin’ Wolf on CMT’s Sun Records\, and the ghostly bluesman Possum in John Sayles’ 2007 film Honeydripper. A fixture on late night TV and award show stages\, Keb’ has also performed on Letterman\, Leno\, Conan\, Colbert\, and Austin City Limits in addition to appearing on nationally televised broadcasts from The Kennedy Center\, The Ryman Auditorium\, and Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Festival. \nA passionate philanthropist and outspoken activist\, Keb’ has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of social\, environmental\, and racial justice throughout his career. As a celebrity mentor with The Kennedy Center’s Turnaround Arts Program\, which began under the guidance of First Lady Michelle Obama and the President’s Committee for the Arts and Humanities\, Keb’ “adopted” The Johnson School for Excellence in Chicago\, where he teamed up with teachers\, students\, and parents to help develop a thriving arts education program\, and as a longtime ambassador for the Playing For Change Foundation\, he’s supported the non-profit from its early days in its quest to provide free music education and basic needs like food\, water\, medicine\, clothing\, books\, and school supplies to children around the world. \n \nTICKET PRICES ARE INCLUSIVE OF FEES.
