SUMMARY:A Midsummer Night's Dream
DESCRIPTION:There are two performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream taking place at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM on July 18. This event takes place in the Waterwise Garden.  \nOne of Shakespeare’s most beloved plays\, A Midsummer Night’s Dream\, is a lively comedy where love\, magic\, and mischief collide. Four young lovers caught in a chaotic love triangle flee into the woods near Athens\, where they become entangled in a magical feud between the fairy king Oberon and queen Titania. Meanwhile\, a group of amateur actors rehearses a play in the same woods. Oberon’s mischievous servant Puck uses magic to meddle with the mortals\, and chaos ensues: people fall in love with the wrong partners\, identities blur\, and reality feels like a dream. As the night unfolds\, confusion turns to clarity\, and harmony is somehow restored. Set against the foothills of Boulder’s historic Chautauqua Park\, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ explores illusion vs. reality\, dreams and fears\, and the transformative power of imagination. \n  \nAbout The Spark Boulder \nThe Spark Boulder boasts a 4\,600 sqft venue space that includes a large reception lobby inspired by modern art galleries\, two dance studios with sprung floors\, and a flexible open-air theater. Our space is available to rent for artists\, community groups\, educational pods\, and private events! The venue is also home to The Spark Theater Company | A mentorship Theater Program! SUMMARY:Boulder Ballet: [In]Human
DESCRIPTION:Door time: 6:30\nShow time: 7:30 \nBoulder Ballet launches its 2026–2027 season at Chautauqua Auditorium with [In]Human\, a bold and versatile program that explores the intersection of instinct and identity through three striking contemporary works. \nThe evening opens with Over Glow\, a refined yet playful exploration of movement and light. Set within a shifting palette of color\, the work moves with exhilarating speed and physicality. Sleek ensemble passages and intimate duets reveal a world that is both kinetic and luminous. \nIn Sun & Steel\, choreographer Ben Needham-Wood reimagines and expands his earlier work into something primal and visceral. Set to the hypnotic score of Philip Glass\, the piece dives into the tension between body and spirit – where flesh meets intention\, and strength meets surrender. Athletic and unrelenting\, it asks: where do we locate ourselves within our own physical humanity? \nThe program concludes with Natasha Adorlee’s How to Build a Dream Apparatus\, a richly theatrical and character-driven world inspired by the music of Andrew Bird. Five distinct voices – The Builder\, The Dreamer\, The Mechanic\, The Performer\, and The Traveler – come together to construct something both mysterious and alive. What begins as fragments evolves into a poetic\, shared creation: part invention\, part sculpture\, part dream. \nDynamic and imaginative\, InHuman reveals the many ways we build meaning – through motion\, connection\, and through the stories we carry in our bodies. \nTICKET PRICES ARE INCLUSIVE OF FEES.
