Happy Valentine's Day, to all lovers of nature and rock n' roll! Join local science educators Mark Wesson, Jeff Kagan and Paige Doughty for a love-themed children's concert complete with educational kid's music, scientific skits, and unexpected surprises. You might recognize the performers from the summer "Meadow Music" concerts on Monday evenings. Now, they reunite in the name of love to combine science, silliness and live acoustic and electric music that involves kids every step of the way in their 3rd show at the Chautauqua Community House. Come join the Thorne Ecological Institute Education Team for a morning of nature fun, crafts, critters and live music. First, check out four, hands-on exploration stations: Live Decomposers, Nature Art, Colorado Skulls and Pelts and The Colorado Animal Cake Walk. Kids will investigate, explore and learn all at the same time. Then stick around for a 40 minute live music concert with Thorne's Lead Instructor, Jeff Kagan. Music is interactive and educational with a focus on Colorado wildlife, mountain ecosystems and appreciation for nature. This is an indoor event at the Chautauqua Community House. Program content appropriate for ages 3 to 5, but all ages welcome. The cost is $5 a person and children under 1 are free!
