Academy Award winner Steven Wright is a prototype comedian that many others continually try to follow. He known for his distinctly lethargic voice and slow, deadpan delivery of ironic, philosophical and sometimes nonsensical jokes, paraprosdokians, anti-humor and one-liners with contrived situations. He is a regular guest with David Letterman, Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel and Craig Ferguson.

Steven was honored as the first inductee into The Boston Comedy Hall of Fame, is a recipient of the Johnny Carson Comedy Legend Award and is a two-time Grammy nominee for Best Comedy Album. In 1989, Steven was honored with an Academy Award for Best Short Film for his film entitled “The Appointments of Dennis Jennings” in which he starred and co-wrote.

A two act play produced and premièred in Breckenridge March 2014, "The 10th" follows two recruits who join the 85th Regiment at Camp Hale in the Pando Valley for the purpose of becoming alpine soldiers. Thrown into a battalion already reeling from a disastrous mission in the Aleutian Islands, the new recruits must deal with a splintered division populated by an overly-educated army force of Dartmouth and Harvard graduates, oversize egos, cantankerous mule skinners, and the looming six week mission in the dead of winter known as "D Series."
Fortitude, faith and fighting spirit combine to create a brotherhood of soldiers never seen before - or since.

Written and directed by Christopher Willard for the Breckenridge Backstage Theatre, "The 10th" is Part One of a three-play "ski cycle," telling the story of the ski industry in the Breckenridge area and focusing on the men who were instrumental in bringing recreational skiing to the region - the soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division. Some adult language.
