Also known as the Rest Cottage, Cottage 401 was built in 1900 by the Women's Christian Temperance Union as permanent headquarters at the new Texas-Colorado Chautauqua.

Extensively rehabilitated, this is a gorgeous, extra large cottage furnished with lovely antiques, a cozy gas fireplace in the living room, and a beautiful front porch. Situated in the "heart" of the chautauqua, Cottage 401 is a short walk from the Community House, Auditorium, Dining Hall and the Waterwise and Centennial Gardens. This is a pet-free cottage.
