Cottage 19 was built in 1900. By Chautuaqua's second season in 1899, the managers decided that tent accommodations were drafty and flimsy. Small wood cabins were rapidly constructed.

This popular west-side cottage backs to the open space and has screened-in porches on both the front and back.
